CPoW-A True Sense of Independence

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is,

            During the 2012 election, I was listed at times as an “Independent.” This was distasteful to me. I am not a George Wallace clone.  I am a Constitution Party man. I believe CPoW promotes a true sense of Independence. Just because a socialist labels someone an Independent, doesn’t mean that man is a patriot. Here are some more accurate terms to describe these men.

  • Vacillators-Many in America think an Independent is someone who switches back and forth between the Democrats and the GOP. If you are somewhere between Socialist Party A and Socialist Party B, that makes you a Socialist {AB}. Some Independence. Moderate socialism or Moderate liberalism would be a more accurate term.
  • Unaccountable- Many candidates are Independents, because they are self-centered. They have no sense of team work and can’t march in formation. They think every thought that runs through their minds is a golden nugget, and is inspired. Such men have more in common with secular talk show hosts, who can’t abide the Bible, neither the Declaration of Independence, nor the US Constitution.

I can always tell when I am talking to one these stubborn individuals, because they tell me, “We need a third party.” CPoW is right in front of them, but the Moral Order isn’t to their liking, so they say, “We need a third party.” Of course they want {socialism AB}, and their third rate sense of patriotism. They can’t acknowledge of God, the Sanctity of Life, and the Moral Order, which is why such an “independent” spouts such things.

The “independent” loves using the term, “common sense.” The term coined by Adam Smith, and popularized by Thomas Paine. Of course the term is a non-standard, and they can dub any lunatic idea they have as “common sense.”

I have heard people in our own Party try to reason with these loose cannons, saying the Constitution Party is a “third party.” If I had to put a number on the Constitution Party, it would be number one. It is certainly number one in quality.

The Constitution Party of Wisconsin embraces a true sense of Independence. From our Party’s Constitution we read, “ARTICLE II.– PURPOSES A. To glorify God through continued trust in Him to use this organization and its members to restore the Biblical principles of government established by our Founding Fathers. B. To promote allegiance to the principles and objectives of the Declaration of Independence.” Furthermore, we affirm Genesis Chapter 1:27 “So he created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them.”

CPoW affirms that because we are made in the image of God, we are endowed with God-given inalienable Rights, which means we ought to be able to serve God, unimpeded by the dictates of man. The US Declaration of Independence declares, “We hold these truths to be self -evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness–” We affirm these statements, and we affirm that they are in harmony with a Biblical world-view.

CPoW further affirms that “We therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions” and furthermore, ““And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our Sacred Honor.”That is a true sense of Independence, so this Fourth of July, I hope you read the US Declaration of Independence, think about how history is repeating itself, and then join CPoW.

The Declaration of Independence – Honoring the Spirit of the Founders in Today’s Political Environment



Declaration of Independence - CanStock 300x200What thoughts spring to your mind when the Declaration of Independence is mentioned? What concepts do you subconsciously associate with the act of the nation’s founders in signing that document and declaring their independence? If you’re like most of us, including me, you’ve probably had thoughts like “revolution,” “rebellion” or even “declaration of war.”

Terms like “revolution” tend to conjure up images of a bunch of malcontents who just don’t like to be told what to do, so they’re going to rebel and be free to do whatever the heck they want. I’m concerned that this, to a great extent, is the image of the founders that has come to be painted in the minds of many modern Americans.
