The Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW) stands firmly for your gun rights

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 21, 2012

The Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW) stands firmly for your gun rights

In the wake of the latest tragedy in Newtown, CT, the usual gang of gun grabbers who subscribe to the “never let a tragedy go to waste” doctrine, are eagerly positioning themselves to strip you of your God given, inalienable rights.  The latest one, as outlined in the Second Amendment of our US Constitution, preserves our right to keep and bear arms.  While completely ignoring the moral character of the person who pulled the trigger, the gun-grabbers are instead blaming an inanimate object for the murder of children.   By labeling the murderer as “mentally ill,” they excuse themselves from doing any investigation of his character and what actually led up to this event.  Instead, they favor taking the “there ought to be a law” path.

“Let’s call this person what he is; a murderer,” said Jerry Broitzman, Vice Chairman of the CPoW, Milwaukee County affiliate.  “He is evil, plain and simple.  It is insulting to everyone who is suffering from an actual mental illness to label this evil man as simply ‘mentally ill.’” he said.

The Constitution Party of Wisconsin supports the Second Amendment to the US Constitution. We support Constitutional Carry. We have no patience with any form of gun-control.  This includes the right-wing “reasonable gun control” of the conservatives, or the left-wing “in your face” gun control of the liberals.  We do not believe in citizen disarmament, which is the ultimate goal of the gun-control supporters.

“If society is truly interested in preventing these horrific crimes from occurring, we need to collectively turn to God and ask for His divine forgiveness and accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior,” said Broitzman.  “It is not Born Again Christians who are committing these crimes.  These are the acts of evil men who do not know Jesus.”

CPoW believes the best form of crime prevention is a good local church teaching, “Thou Shalt not Kill” and “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” and not undermining that by cheap grace. Having the Ten Commandments on display would help as well.  Reaching the conscious of a would-be perpetrator, while he still has one, is far better than an armed citizen having to apply lethal force.  Applying a gun ban will not change the heart of a would-be murderer and CPoW will not give in to public panic.

“We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams

About CPoW:  The Constitution Party of Wisconsin is a Political Party that seeks to put men of integrity into partisan, non-partisan, and appointed positions of authority.  We are working to implement the Biblical Principles of Civil Government, as laid out in The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

What Does The Morality Have To Do With Gun Control?

The wicked shall be turned into hell and
all the nations that forget God.” Psalm 9:17

By Riley J. Hood – CPoW State Chairman

The Constitution Party of Wisconsin supports the Second Amendment to the US Constitution. We support Constitutional Carry. We have no patience with any form of gun-control, the “reasonable gun control” of the conservative, or the left-wing, “in your face gun” control of the liberal. We do not believe in Citizen Disarmament, which is all gun-control is, and all the debates about crime are so much coffee house nonsense.

So, when I’m at the range, or talking to shooters, and I tell them about Constitution Party of Wisconsin (CPoW), some of them are a rather heathen lot. They laugh at the Moral Order. I say I trust a man armed with self-control, more so than an armed man who has none.

I was recently sent a letter that said it all. A lobbying group was broke from trying to defend your gun-rights in too many incidences of mass murder. Those outbursts would be far fewer if Americans had a conviction that murder, even if unpunished in this lifetime, will be punished by God in the next. Our founding fathers, some of whom wrote the Second Amendment believed these things, they said,

“Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters.” – Ben Franklin

“Let my neighbor once persuade himself that there is no God, and he will soon pick my pocket, and break not only my leg, but my neck. If there be no God, no future account; government then is the ordinance of man only, and we cannot be subject for conscience sake.”  – Rev. William Linn

“Remiss would be the man who would call himself a patriot who would remove religion from politics” -George Washington

“If men will not be governed by God, then they will be ruled by tyrants.” – William Penn

“While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but once they lose their virtue they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” – Samuel Adams

10-commandments1

So as men with no self-control act out more and more: the cry for the government to step in will get louder and louder, especially from the womenfolk.  Many ladies have come up to me saying, “hunting is fine, because it is government licensed, but having a pistol is dangerous, and we need gun control.” Like after 911, people were actually saying they wanted their security, and didn’t care about their freedom.

You know how to counter these arguments, the government can only make you so secure, it takes them time to arrive at the scene, etc. Never mind gun-control doesn’t keep AK-47s out of the hands of street gangs, who are still carrying out their drive-by shootings, all it achieves is the disarmament of regular people, who are not the problem, but you know all that. My point is, that after a murderer comes out of the woodwork every other week, and it is hyped in the media, the people are losing their patriotism and their senses, and are calling for gun control.

The best form of crime prevention is a good local Church teaching, “Thou Shalt not Kill” and “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” and not undermining that by cheap grace. Having the Ten Commandments on display would help as well, reaching the conscious of a would be perpetrator, while he still has one, is far better than an armed citizen having to apply lethal force, and then that said armed citizen be punished because his freedom was taken away by an public in panic.

Ichabod – The Real Message of the 2012 Elections (Part 2)

Perspective

Part 2: Lost in the Forest

Election 2012In Part 1 of this series we looked at the departure of the Christian-conservative-religious right from the Biblical and Constitutional principles that it once represented. We saw how that departure was documented in black and white in the 2012 primary elections. Remember, the primary election is where the Christian-conservative-religious right (which predominately votes Republican and serves as that party’s base of support) chooses the candidates who best represent their values and which they want to be represented by in the general election.
