Christians:  You are now without excuse

By Jerry Broitzman

October 15, 2012

If you are easily offended and/or do not like hearing direct talk, then read no further.  There, you have now been warned.

This message is for those who define themselves as Born Again Christians.  I have been hearing a constant stream of whining and sniveling from Christians who are confused and distraught about the upcoming presidential election.  They do not want to vote for a lesser of two evils, but feel that they have no choice.  They are so bent on their hatred of our current president that they will swap out one apostate for another.

So, let us start with a short civics lesson:  We do not have a two party system.  We have a winner-take-all system.  Do you want proof?  Ask Senator John McCain how often he was allowed to share presidential power with President Barak Obama, since the 2008 election.  The answer is zero.  There is NOTHING in the US Constitution ordaining two parties.  The party that wins the requisite number of electoral votes wins the presidency.  That’s it and that’s all.

Here are some other facts:  President Obama is not a Christian.  There is plenty of proof of that, which I am not going to talk about here.  Governor Mitt Romney is not a Christian.  He is part of the Mormon Church.  If you want more information about Mormonism, talk to your pastor.

As a Christian, you do have an option.  On November 6th, 2012, you can vote for a Constitution Party candidate by the name of Virgil Goode.  He will be on the ballot in Wisconsin.  The Constitution Party is the ONLY political party who acknowledges Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The preamble to the Constitution Party platform reads:

“The Constitution Party gratefully acknowledges the blessing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the Universe and of these United States. We hereby appeal to Him for mercy, aid, comfort, guidance and the protection of His Providence as we work to restore and preserve these United States.”

Mr. Virgil Goode is a Baptist who was in the Virginia State Senate from December 1973 – January 1997.  He then served in the US House of Representatives in his Virginia district from January 1997 through January 2009.  He is 100% Pro-Life, 100% pro-traditional marriage and 100% pro-US Constitution.

As a Christian, I would rather retain my principles and lose an election, rather than sacrifice my principles for the sake of electing a non-Christian.  I am going to vote for my principles, regardless of the outcome.  If Christians in the United States did the same, we would change the direction of our country in one big hurry.

In Biblical times, the masses were not given a choice of who ruled over them.  They were given a ruler and a choice:  Comply or die.  This is still true in many countries today.  In the United States, we have been given a special privilege.  We get to have a voice about who rules over us.    With this, comes great responsibility.  It means we are going to be held to account.  I, for one, am going to sleep with a clear conscience, knowing that I did not vote for a non-Christian.  I will vote for Virgil Goode for President of the United States.
